About Me

I am Friedrich Setzkorn (Freddy),  owner and founder of ClimbAway Adventures. I've always been an outdoor person, having been raised by parents who made frequent efforts to take my brothers and I camping as kids to share with us the untamed beauty of both Angola and Namibia. Thus when my career in swimming came to a close I was instantly drawn to the wild aspect of rock climbing. This led me on a journey to discover the best climbing and hiking spots all over the country, aiming to conquer all of them!

 

Now my goal is to share that experience with you; to take you where few have been, show you what few will ever get to see and accompany you on the adventure of a lifetime.
